     I appologize for not responding, but I somehow managed to lose your email. The C4 should work fine with the motor, even with the manual computer. Using the auto with manual computer, will cause the computer to also show the neutral saftey switch code, but it will not set off the "Check Engine" light. You have probably already thought of this, but pull the pilot bearing before you transplant the motor, it is much easier while the motor is out of the car. As far as the rear axle, why not use the Ford 8.8? Feel free to email me again, for anything else.
